Allegheny Health Network opens $8M outpatient center near rival UPMC — 4 insights

Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network opened a full-service outpatient center in an Aspinwall, Pa.-based shopping plaza to compete with UPMC St. Margaret, the TRIB Live reports.

1. Hospital administration said the outpatient center fills a primary care gap in the area.

2. The center will offer orthopedic, cardiology, advanced diagnostic, obstetrics and gynecological services.

3. The facility cost Allegheny about $8 million.
