St. Jude Medical has received FDA clearance for its ViewFlex Xtra intracardiac echocardiography catheter, according to a MassDevice report.
The catheter is designed for use with St. Jude's ViewMate Z ultrasound console, which was developed with Zonare Medical Systems.
The ViewMate Z ultrasound console is described by St. Jude as a "full featured intracardiac echocardiography system designed for exceptional, real-time image guidance and visualization of anatomical structures."
St. Jude Medical is headquartered in St. Paul, Minn.
