Rep. Paulsen's Medical Device Tax Repeal Initiative Gains Support

Minnesota Rep. Erik Paulsen's movement to repeal the 2.3 percent medical device tax had 218 signatures from members of the U.S. House of Representatives, which is the minimum number of votes a bill need to pass the House, according to MassDevice report.

Rep. Paulsen has said the tax could cut 43,000 American jobs and hinder innovation in the medical device sector. He first introduced legislation in April 2010, but it received little support.
