r4 Vascular has announced it has received FDA clearance for its Vector percutaneous transluminal angioplasty balloon catheters, according to a news release.
The catheters are available in 28 sizes. Vector balloon catheter sizes are rated for up to 30 atmospheres of pressure and are radiopaque when deflated or inflated, according to the company.
r4's Vector balloon catheter also includes radiopaque stripes on the balloon intended to allow physicians to avoid the use of viscous contrast media to visualize the balloon under fluoroscopy, according to the release.
