Medtronic announced it plans to eliminate 230 jobs from its Memphis, Tenn.-based spine division, according to a Pioneer Press report.
The announcement comes as Medtronic’s fiscal year ended in late April. The company’s earnings will be announced May 21, according to the report.
The spine layoffs are part of a plan to reduce overall costs by 5 percent.
