Medline Industries, manufacturer and distributor of healthcare supplies, has signed a five-year prime vendor agreement for distribution services with Surgical Care Affiliates, one of the country's largest providers of specialty surgical services.
Medline will provide full distribution services to SCA's facilities from 32 distribution centers located throughout the country. The partnership aims to drive cost-savings through operational efficiencies and cost reductions throughout the distribution channel and from Medline brand product purchases.
SCA operates a national network of 125 ambulatory surgical centers and surgical hospitals. Medline is expected to generate $250 million in medical and surgical product sales from the partnership over the term of the agreement.
