Dallen Medical Files for FDA Clearance for Compressyn Staple

Dallen Medical has announced it has filed for FDA clearance for its Compressyn staple, according to a news release.

 

The company is seeking clearance to use the staple for small bone fixation, specifically in foot, ankle and hand applications.

 

Dallen Medical's Compressyn band for sternal closure has already received FDA clearance.

 

"We are very pleased to get this submission in and are excited about the potential of our Compressyn technology to improve patient outcomes and thereby reduce costs to the healthcare system," said David Mills, Dallen Medical president and CEO, in the release. "All of our investors are pleased with this milestone and the future opportunities for the Compressyn technology."

 

Dallen Medical is headquartered in San Clemente, Calif.
