Cutera to Buy Iridex Global Aesthetic Business Arm for $5M

Cutera and IRIDEX entered into a binding agreement for Cutera to purchase parts of IRIDEX' global aesthetic business arm for approximately $5.1 million, according to a news release.

Both companies are active in the global aesthetic market, with IRIDEX' specialty in vascular treatments. The combination is expected to improve Cutera's presence among primary care physicians. The transaction has been approved by both board of directors and is expected to close early this year.
