Samara Moore, MD, has agreed to pay $238,000 in a medical malpractice lawsuit that accused her of delivering negligent care, according to a Southeast Texas Record report.
Earlier this year, the estate of a now deceased patient filed a lawsuit against Dr. Moore and Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, Texas, alleging the providers failed to deliver timely medical attention to the patient who had sepsis. The patient later died, according to the news report.
Dr. Moore must also pay guardian ad litem fees. The news report did not include outcomes related to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
