Ophthalmologist Jonathan Lass, MD, received the Castroviejo Medal from the Cornea Society.

2. Dr. Lass practices at University Hospitals Eye Institute in Cleveland, Ohio.
3. He is also a Thomas Professor of Ophthalmology at Case Western Reserve University School in Cleveland.
4. The Cornea Society granted Dr. Lass this award for his research and advancements in corneal transplant and surgery.
5. He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and underwent his ophthalmology residency at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Lass then completed a fellowship in cornea and external diseases at Boston-based Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and the Schepens Eye Research Institute.
