Buffalo Ambulatory Surgery Center surgeons to offer free cataract surgeries — 3 things to know

Buffalo (N.Y.) Ambulatory Surgery Center surgeons are offering free cataract surgeries on Oct. 7, according to Niagara Falls Reporter.

Here are three things to know:

1. The surgery center is offering the surgeries through "Mission Cataract Day," where U.S. surgeons offer free cataract surgeries once a year.

2. Kenneth D. Anthone, MD; Amar Atwal, MD; and Ephraim Atwal, MD, will offer the services at the ASC.

3. Dr. Anthone has provided 200 free cataract surgeries to local residents as part of Eyes on America Foundation, which Mission Cataract Day organized.
