Bellingham (Wash.) Surgery Center. Bellingham Surgery Center was opened by a physician group in 1986 and acquired by Symbion Ambulatory Resource Centers in 1999. The surgery center is connected to the community medical record and community PAC digital imaging system. The four-OR and eight recovery room facility is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and Medicare certified. The surgery center benchmarks with Symbion's internal tracking system and on the national level through the Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association.
Center for Ambulatory Surgery (West Seneca, N.Y.). The Center for Ambulatory Surgery is a multispecialty center developed in partnership with The C/N Group, which provided 50 percent of the equity capital. The 18,000-square-foot ASC includes five endoscopy suites along with the four surgical suites and at the time of construction in 2001 included extra space for capacity. Services at the center include gynecology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, podiatry, urology and reconstructive surgery. The annual volume for the center exceeds 15,000 procedures.
Crane Creek Surgery Center (Melbourne, Fla.). Crane Creek Surgery Center is a 14,000-square-foot facility with four operating rooms and two procedure rooms. Specialties at the center include orthopedics, spine, otolaryngology, general surgery, pain management and urology. The center includes eight surgeons and partners with Blue Chip Surgical Center Partners. One of the surgeons, Richard Hynes, MD, is the president of The BACK Center and director of the charitable organization TZEDAKA which assists low income individuals gain access to medical care.
Dulaney Eye Institute (Towson, Md.). This freestanding surgery center is owned and operated by Katzen Eye Group. Surgeons perform several types of procedures, including cataract, vitreo-retinal, glaucoma, corneal muscle and ocular plastics at Dulaney Eye Institute. The surgery center includes four operating rooms and one procedure room, and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Over the past 16 years, surgeons have performed more than 91,000 cases at Dulaney Eye Institute, which includes 23 physicians.

The center expanded to include a second location in 1996 that has six operating rooms and two treatment rooms with two overnight suites. The original location closed in May 2001, but a third new facility was opened on the Deaconess Women's Hospital campus with five operating rooms, one treatment room and four overnight suites. The original facility was opened by a small group of local physicians and since then has serviced more than 100,000 patients. The facility was accredited by Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program and now includes more than 100 surgeons and staff.
Limestone Surgery Center (Wilmington, Del.). Established in 1988, Limestone Surgery Center was the first freestanding ASC in Delaware. The center includes four operating rooms and a procedure room, as well as private preparation rooms for surgery. The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care accredited the facility, which is also certified to participate in Medicare. More than 40 physicians use the surgery center, which include otolaryngologist, ophthalmologists, general surgeons, gynecologists, orthopedists, plastic surgeons, urologists and pain physicians.

This four-operating room, four-procedure room surgery center is a freestanding facility accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. It is also licensed by the state and federal Medicare programs. Linden Oaks Surgery Center is a multispecialty facility and has the goal of providing high quality patient care.
