Charles A. Peck, MD, FACP, is the president and CEO of Health Inventures. He is an internist and rheumatologist with over 30 years of healthcare experience as a clinician, scientist, medical school faculty member, administrator, medical director and partner in a worldwide healthcare consulting company.
As the CEO of Health Inventures, he is active in overseeing the company's growth in outpatient surgery partnerships, physician practice management and inpatient perioperative management with hospitals and doctors, and leading the overall execution of the company's business plan.
His areas of expertise include health strategy and policy, healthcare system management, change enablement, physician enterprise performance improvement (alignment and clinical operations), clinical care, quality and utilization management, leadership training and risk management.
Dr. Peck has served in numerous roles including: partner with a global healthcare consulting firm responsible for the clinical operations practice; CEO of a 150 physician group multi-specialty practice; president of the southeast and northeast regions of a large national health insurance carrier; chief medical officer of a start-up retail health clinic operator; and chief medical officer/chief operations officer of a national disease management company.
He received a BA in psychology from Emory University, an MD from the New York University School of Medicine and was a professional fellow in the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Physician Executives.
