A recent study shows price transparency demand could bring healthcare providers increased revenue, according to a Healthcare Finance News report.
High-deductible health plans are driving consumers toward price transparency products and services, which will have a market worth of $3.09 billion by 2016. The market is currently valued at $540 million.
Other factors driving transparency include consumers making value-based care decisions, "sticker shock" from high deductible out-of-pocket costs and unclear bills causing frustration and medical debt.
