GE Healthcare and Accenture are helping providers with medical claims management.
Here are five things to know:
1. The alliance is intended to improve medical claims processing and related cash flow.
2. The offering will combine analytics and consulting services to help healthcare providers save between 25 percent and 50 percent of their current costs to re-process denied claims.
3. GE Healthcare's analytics solution, DenialsIQ, flags claims denials and reveals hidden patterns and root causes of denials.
4. Equipped with DenialsIQ, Accenture will offer:
• A denials management assessment
• A consulting engagement using DenialsIQ data to help redesign claims workflow and decrease denied claims
• Claims management and operations support services
5. Accenture estimated one in every five claims that is denied will cost a health system an average of $25 per claim to re-process.
