Colorado voters will decide whether they want a universal, single-payer healthcare system when they head to the polls in November, according to Fox News.
Here are five things to know:
1. The November ballot will include Amendment 69, ColoradoCare, which calls for universal healthcare.
2. Supporters of the amendment claim Colorado's constitution is much easier to change than other states' constitutions.
3. The amendment would double Colorado's budget to $50 billion.
4. Opponents argue the amendment would bankrupt the state and starve the economy, as it would also require a 10 percent payroll tax.
5. Those opposed also envision ColoradoCare's passage resulting in an influx of people while simultaneously pushing out the best physicians.
