The Code It Right conference held last week provided attendees tips on how to transition to the new coding system, according to The Gazette.
Here are four notes:
1. Communication amongst team members is crucial in the transition process.
2. The presenters focused on how coding drives the revenue cycle.
3. Healthcare providers should acquire as much training as possible to become fully prepared for the deadline.
4. Don't let numbers intimidate you. If you have a clear grasp on how to code, the number of codes is irrelevant.
