The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has designed the Medicare Summary Notice, according to an AAPC report.
The new MSN, now available at MyMedicare.gov, will be mailed quarterly to beneficiaries starting in 2013. CMS Acting Administrator Marilyn Tavenner said the redesign is part of an initiative to make Medicare information more accessible.
CMS has also created a side-by-side comparison of the former and redesigned MSNs.
