2016 outlook: Nearly half of Americans expect to pay more for health insurance — 5 points

Forty-three Americans expect to pay more for health insurance in 2016, according to a GOBankingRates.com report.

GoBankingRates.com surveyed 5,000 respondents, asking, "How much do you expect to pay for healthcare in the next year?"

Here are five points:

1. Of the respondents, 23 percent expect to pay a little more than in 2015.

2. Twenty percent expect to pay "a lot more than last year."

3. Thirty-seven percent expect to pay the same rates as 2015.

4. Of respondents aged 65 and older, 48.7 percent expect to pay more for healthcare in 2016.

5. Nearly 50 percent of women respondents expect health costs to stay the same this year, as opposed to only 33.4 percent of male respondents.
