Comedienne Joan Rivers "death resulted from a predictable complication of medical therapy," according to a report from the New York medical examiner.
The medical examiner ruled that a laryngospasm caused Ms. Rivers to struggle to breathe while under sedation, which caused her to go into cardiac arrest and her brain to die from lack of oxygenated blood.
