Florida Eye Institute Surgicenter has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, according to a report on TCPalm.com.
The AAAHC awarded the surgery center with a three-year term of accreditation.
"We believe our patients deserve the best," said Val Zudans, MD, president of Florida Eye Institute Surgicenter, in the report. "When you see our certificate of accreditation, you will know that AAAHC, an independent, not-for-profit organization, has closely examined our facility and procedures. It means that we as an organization care enough about our patients to strive for the highest care possible."
Florida Eye Institute describes itself as a "comprehensive eye care facility for general and specialty eye care including medical, surgical and laser treatments of ocular disease," according to its web site.
