Erie Shriners ASC Achieves Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval

Erie Shriners Ambulatory Surgery Center has earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with its national standards for healthcare quality and safety in ASC organizations, according to a Go Erie report.

The accreditation award recognizes the surgery center's dedication to continuous compliance with the Joint Commission's state-of-the-art standards. The accreditation is for a three-year period.

The surgery center underwent an on-site survey in October when a surveyor from the Joint Commission evaluated the surgery center for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.
