Jan Davidson, MSN, RN, AORN manager of ambulatory products for AORN, will represent AORN on the AAAHC board following the accreditor's approval of AORN for full membership in the AAAHC, according to an AORN news release.
"I believe I will be the only nurse on their board, so for AORN to have a voice at their table is such an honor," said Ms. Davidson, in the release. "In addition, I am hopeful that my background in healthcare risk management will further be seen as a benefit to their organization, and I hope that what I am able to offer will be as valuable to them as the knowledge I will gain by serving in this capacity."
The new collaboration between AORN and AAAHC is expected to provide AORN additional opportunities to support the goals and initiatives of the AAAHC and the broader ambulatory community.
