The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care has named Margaret Spear, MD, an AAAHC surveyor since 1994, as its new chair of the board.
Dr. Spear, board-certified in internal medicine, currently serves as an American College Health Association fellow and the director of university health services at Pennsylvania State University in University Park.
She has also served on the AAAHC board as vice chair, secretary and treasurer.
