AAAHC accredits Olympia Surgery Center: 4 takeaways

The Olympia Surgery Center of Olympia Orthopaedic Associates was recently accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Here is what you should know about the Olympia, Wash.-based ambulatory surgery centers.

1. The OSC has two care centers featuring a combined total of 20 doctors that are subspecialized in every area of orthopedic care.

2. The centers were first created in 1972 and have grown to "be the largest full-service orthopaedic group in the South Puget Sound area."

3. Olympia Orthopaedic Associates was recognized in 2008 as the Thurston Economic Development Council Corporate Employer of the Year. They have received several other honors, and have the distinction of having Healthcare Champion Dr. Patrick Halpin on staff.

4. The surgery group is affiliated with Providence St. Peter Hospital and Capital Medical Center both in Washington.
