Two UC Irvine Anesthesiologists Receive Foundation Research Grants

Two physicians from the department of anesthesiology and perioperative care at the University of California at Irvine have received Foundation of Anesthesia, Education and Research grants. Both anesthesiologists will receive a two-year grant supported by the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Davinder Ramsingh, MD, will apply the grant towards his project: "Application of a Comprehensive Perioperative Ultrasound Curriculum for Anesthesiologists: Bringing the Perioperative Physician out of the Guessing Game." Darren Raphael, MD, will use the grant to further his research: "Simulation Based Interviews for Selection of Anesthesiology Residency Candidates."

The last FAER grant recipient in the UCI department of anesthesiology and perioperative care was Mike Alkire, MD, in 1998.
