The American Board of Anesthesiology has appointed Jill Mhyre, MD, of the University of Michigan Health System, to the position of senior editor for the Joint Council on Anesthesiology Examinations.
Dr. Mhyre, an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology who specializes in obstetric anesthesiology, will begin her four-year term as senior editor this week. In her new role, Dr. Mhyre will write 12 articles and review 18 articles each year.
Dr. Mhyre received her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed her anesthesiology residency at two hospitals: Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C., and the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers in Ann Arbor.
