Anesthesia Business Consultants (ABC), a billing and practice management company dedicated to anesthesia and pain management, has release a white paper on anesthesiologist and CRNA participation rates in the Physician Quality Reporting System.
The report, written by Tony Mira, president and CEO of ABC, also provides new anesthesiologist compensation and related data recently published in Jackson & Coker's 2011-2012 Provider "Contribution to Operations" Percentage Calculator.
In the white, Mr. Mira provides statistics from the "CMS report 2009 Reporting Experience Including Trends (2007 – 2010): Physician Quality Reporting System and Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Initiative" and analyzes the data and conclusions specific to anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
He also explains some problems he sees with the statistics related to anesthesiologist compensation.
