Mednax acquired West End Anesthesia Group in Richmond, Va., as well as its related entities, Hanover Anesthesia Group and West End Anesthesia Group.

1. West End Anesthesia Group is a private physician group practice.
2. Together the entities employ 94 full-time clinicians of which 25 are anesthesiologists.
3. West End Anesthesia Group provides exclusive anesthesia services to St. Mary's Hospital and Memorial Regional Medical Center, both part of the Bon Secours Virginia Health System based in Richmond.
4. No additional terms of the transaction were disclosed.
5. Mednax includes more than 3,275 physicians in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
