MEDNAX acquired Associated Anesthesiologists of Joliet (Ill.), a private physician group practice, and its related entities — Madison Avenue Anesthesia Placement Services, Crawford Avenue Anesthesia Placement Services and Pain Centers of Chicago.
Associated Anesthesiologists of Joliet was established in 1971 and later formed three related entities that together provide anesthesia services at 12 locations. The acquisition will add 85 full-time anesthesia providers and 12 other clinical and administrative staff to MEDNAX's American Anesthesiology division, which consists of more than 2,150 anesthesia providers.
