Florida Gulf-to-Bay Anesthesiology Associates has partnered with New-York based private equity firm MTS Health Investors to secure additional capital. MTS will retain a "significant" stake in the physician group, according to a release, but specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
FGTB, based in Tampa, Fla., provides anesthesia and pain management services to hospitals and surgery centers in Florida and Indiana, including six hospitals in the Tampa Bay area and seven ambulatory surgery centers.
Oliver Moses, a partner at MTS, and Alex Buzik, a principal, will take seats on FGTB's board, along with additional representatives from the physician group and MTS.
