Mindray Medical International Limited has announced FDA approval of its A5 Anesthesia System, an anesthesia delivery platform, according to a company news release.
The A5's user interface is designed to simplify workflows, which the touch screen allows clinicians to select ventilation settings. The work surface, central brake and integrated cable sweeps are designed to enhance device mobility. According to the release, every A5 provides data output in the industry standard HL7 protocol, and the device is designed to reduce the risk of surgical fires.
