Former Chief Financial Officer of Danbury (Conn.) Hospital William Roe is due to appear in court for allegedly defrauding more than $140,000 from the hospital and could face additional charges, according to a News Times report.
Mr. Roe was initially charged for writing checks from the hospital's parent company account to his Jessup, Pa.-based software firm Cycle Software Solution, which never provided any services to the hospital.
Federal prosecutors are expected to file additional charges, including witness tampering, obstruction of justice and harassment for contacting a witness against him in an effort to get the fraud charges dropped, according to the report.
