Atlanta Radiologist Convicted on 4 Counts of Healthcare Fraud

Atlanta radiologist Rajashakher P. Reddy has been found guilty of several fraud charges, including four counts of healthcare fraud, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution report.

Dr. Reddy operated Reddy Solutions, which provided services to hospitals without full-time radiology coverage. From May 2007-Jan. 2008, Dr. Reddy signed and submitted thousands of medical findings reports without reviewing the X-rays, mammograms, CT scans and other films. Employees would sometimes sign the reports for Dr. Reddy by using his electronic password.

He was found guilty of 20 counts of wire fraud, five counts of mail fraud, four counts of healthcare fraud and one count of obstruction of justice. Dr. Reddy faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison along with fines.
