Jeff Blankinship, president & CEO of Surgical Notes, a nationwide provider of medical transcription, coding, electronic medical records and other value-added IT services for ASCs, has announced several developments for the company.
SNChart, a web-based transcription application hosted at www.SNChart.com, is now 100 percent web-based and out of its beta testing phase. Surgical Notes will be rolling the service out to all of its clients.
Mr. Blankinship also announced that Surgical Notes is providing the company's VMR Express to Baylor Medical Center at Carrollton (Texas), a United Surgical Partners International facility. Surgical Notes announced in September that USPI had selected Surgical Notes as a preferred clinical documentation vendor.

- Surgical Notes will be hosting the 6th Annual After Hours Party at the 17th Annual Improving Profitability, and Business and Legal Issues for ASCs Conference. The party will take place Thurs., Oct. 21, at the Foundation Room at the House of Blues in Chicago from 9:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. It is co-sponsored by VMG Health, Mnet Financial, ASD Management, Source Medical and Becker's ASC Review.
- The company held the Texas Ambulatory Surgery Center Society's political action committee fundraiser at its offices prior to the TASCS 2010 Summer Summit in Dallas.
