APIC Names President of Transition Management Consulting as Interim CEO

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology has announced that Robert T. Van Hook will serve as its interim CEO effective Oct. 18 as the association conducts a search for a successor to CEO Kathy Warye.

Mr. Van Hook has been an association executive for more than 25 years and is currently president of Transition Management Consulting, which specializes in providing interim executive management and transition consulting.

The search for Ms. Warye's successor is expected to take six months.

"We are delighted that Bob has agreed to guide us through this transition," said APIC 2010 President Cathryn Murphy, RN, PhD, CIC, in a news release. "With his extensive experience in association management and interim executive engagement, we believe he is the right person to work with APIC through our executive leadership succession."
