In 2023, there were just 28 private equity deals in the vision sector compared to 71 deals in 2022. Gastroenterology also saw a decrease in private equity deals, with 13 deals in 2023 compared to 26 deals in 2022.
Cardiology piqued the interest of private equity investors in 2023 as the speciality saw the most deals last year compared to the previous eight years.
