Steward Health Care System, based in Boston, has announced its Norwood (Mass.) Hospital has opened a new pain management center.
The hospital relocated its existing pain management center to a new clinical outpatient space within the facility, according to a Steward news release.
The center treats patients with conditions such as back and neck pain, including herniated discs, spinal stenosis and tumors, chronic abdominal pain, complex regional pain syndrome, intractable spasticity, muscle and joint pain, disorders of the nervous system, including shingles and trigeminal neuralgia and pain associated with AIDS and cancer.
Allison Gorski, MD, serves as medical director of and oversees the pain management center.
