Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's Spine & Pain Associates physicians are among the first providers in the U.S. to use dorsal root ganglion stimulation to treat chronic pain, according to LVB.com.

1 The FDA approved the procedure in April 2016.
2. With the stimulation, the practice has achieved success rates of 80 percent in complete pain relief, according to Steven Falowski, MD, a neurosurgeon with St. Luke's Spine & Pain Associates.
3. St. Luke's Spine & Pain Associates' Farooq Qureshi, MD, was one of the first U.S. physicians to undergo training on DRG stimulation. He has used DRG stimulation in 40-plus implant procedures.
