Polaris Spine & Neurosurgery Center displayed its robotic navigation system at the Georgia Chiropractic Association's 107th annual fall conference and trade show in October, according to the practice's marketing coordinator, Adrianne Morales.
Three things to know:
1. The Atlanta-based specialty practice showcased its Globus Medical ExcelsiusGPS spinal surgery robot.
"We are the only outpatient surgery center in the Southeast to have this robotic navigational surgical system and second in the country," Ms. Morales said on LinkedIn.
2. The practice chose ExcelsiusGPS to improve precision through the robot's advanced navigation technology, as well as to reduce tissue damage, postoperative pain, radiation exposure and surgery times.
3. Five physicians practice at Polaris Spine & Neurosurgery Center, along with four certified physician assistants and one certified family nurse practitioner.
