Docs Health breaks ground on $123M orthopedic, spine center

Construction has begun on a $123 million orthopedic and spine surgery center in Los Angeles run by Docs Health, the Los Angeles Business Journal reported Nov. 6.

The 58,000-square-foot surgery center will replace a 8,500-square-foot hospital site the Los Angeles-based specialty group purchased in 2019, according to the publication.

The surgical hospital will house four operating rooms and have technology including robotic surgery and imaging services, according to the Journal. It will also house 17 inpatient suites.

The facility will be the first orthopedic and spine specialty hospital in Los Angeles, Khawar Siddique, MD, co-chief executive of Docs Health, told the Journal. The center is slated for completion in 2026.
