Surgeons performed the first total hip replacements at Dublin (Ohio) Surgery Center after a "tremendous amount of preparation," according to Deerfield, Ill.-based Surgical Care Affiliates.
Dublin Surgery Center, an SCA affiliate, will continue performing total hip replacements in addition to podiatry, urology, gastroenterology, gynecology, general surgery, ophthalmology, ENT, pain management and orthopedic services.
The center opened in 2003.
