A new total joint reconstruction surgeon recently joined Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute's upcoming Florida practice, according to an Oct. 20 statement.
Alfredo Arrojas, MD, joined after serving as an associate at a practice in Kissimmee and St. Cloud, Fla., the statement said. He received his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and did his residency at Palmetto Health in Columbia, S.C.
He's a bilingual surgeon whose procedures include direct anterior total hip arthroplasty and robotic-assisted total hip and knee arthroplasty, the report said.
Rothman announced in September that it was partnering with Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based AdventHealth to expand its practice into Central Florida and was signing multiple physicians to employment agreements in the region.
"I am a firm believer in Rothman's core values of quality-driven care," Dr. Arrojas said in a statement. "Rothman Orthopaedics will bring a paradigm shift to Central Florida changing the primary focus to quality instead of volume. I truly believe that patients treated within a subspecialized practice, should be treated by those individuals best skilled to take care of each patient's individual issues. If our top priority is providing top-notch orthopaedic care to patients, all other aspects of treatment and service will fall in line."
