Bones and Spine Surgery opens ASC, debuts outpatient spine surgery robot

Loma Linda, Calif.-based Bones and Spine Surgery has opened its new Loma Linda Surgical Institute, which is the first ASC in the Inland Empire region to offer outpatient robotic spine surgery.

The ASC has seven operating rooms and provides arthroscopy, joint replacement, minimally invasive spinal surgery, cataract surgery, colonoscopy, endoscopy and cardiac services.

The surgical robot will provide a 3D view of surgical structures by integrating CT scans with patient anatomy for better visualization and accuracy. It is minimally invasive and leads to faster recovery times, less pain and less scarring, according to a March 7 press release.

The ASC will host an open house, which will include a demonstration of the surgical robot, on March 12.
