The ophthalmologists of Southgate (Mich.) Surgery Center now have access to the ORA System for more precise cataract surgery.
The ORA, or Optiwave Refractive Analysis, guidance allows surgeons to measure the eye and refine outcomes mid-procedure, unlike the methods for traditional surgery. The systems have shown to improve post-operative outcomes by up to 20 percent and reduce the need for patient follow-ups or enhancement procedures.
The system can be used to treat patients with astigmatism and cataract patients with previous LASIK surgery.
