Ophthalmologist Anita Shane, MD, has joined Manatee Sarasota Eye Clinic in Florida, according to a news release.
Manatee Sarasota Eye Clinic has seven offices on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Dr. Shane will serve patients in Manatee Sarasota Eye Clinic's offices in Bradenton, Ellenton and Sun City Center, Fla.
Dr. Shane, a retina specialist and vitreo-retinal surgeon, comes to Manatee Sarasota Eye Clinic from the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami.
She received her MD from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Dr. Shane then completed an internship in internal medicine at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami and completed a residency in ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. She continued her training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, where she completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery.
