North Shore Eye Care, with offices in several locations on Long Island, N.Y., has announced it has opened a new eye center on Long Island in Southampton, according to a North Shore Eye Care website report.
The new location, North Shore Eye Care's fifth, will provide services including cataract surgery and lens implantation, LASIK laser vision correction, glaucoma management and treatment for diabetic eye disease.
North Shore Eye Care was founded on Long Island in Smithtown, N.Y., by Sidney Martin, MD, in 1962.
"We're extremely proud to carry on the legacy of Dr. Sidney Martin in our expansion across Long Island," said Jeffrey Martin, MD, son of Dr. Sidney Martin, in the report. "Our new Southampton location now gives the eastern-most residents of Long Island access to the same professional level of comprehensive eye care found in the country's leading medical centers."
