The Medical Society of the State of New York has named Sam L. Unterricht, MD, board-certified ophthalmologist, its president.
Dr. Unterricht currently serves as the chief of ophthalmology, retina and neuro-ophthalmology at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, assistant attending in retina and neuro-ophthalmology at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., and chief of retina services at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York.
He previously served as treasurer of the Medical Society of the State of New York.
