The American Academy of Ophthalmology has announced that it is granting U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) its Visionary Award for her legislative work in the area of eye care improvement.
Former Visionary Award recipients include Rep. Richard Neal (D-Mass.), Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) and Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.).
Rep. Blackburn is a co-sponsor of legislation designed to preserve seniors' Medicare access.
