Utah Valley Eye Center in Provo has partnered with the Ouelessebougou Alliance to provide villagers in Mali with eye exams, cataract surgeries and donated eyeglasses.
During the weeklong expedition in Mali, Utah Valley Eye center physicians performed 37 cataract surgeries.
The Ouelessebougou Alliance is an NGO dedicated to providing health, economic and educational support to the Ouelessebougou region of Mali.
